Applying to UW

All students are encouraged to apply online using the appropriate version of our online application as follows:

While paper and online applications receive equal consideration, our online application offers several benefits:

  • It's the most secure method of application available.
  • You can work on and view your application from any computer with Internet access.
  • You can save your work and come back later, either to finish your application or correct mistakes and omissions.
  • You can pay your $44 application fee online with a credit card.
  • You can compose your personal statements in a word-processing program and then paste them right into the online application.
  • You'll receive immediate notification that your application has been received.
  • Applying online makes the application review process go more smoothly and efficiently.

If you prefer to apply on paper, go to our Download Forms page to print the applications.
