Safety

UW–Madison actively strives to create a safe campus and community for its students. UW–Madison maintains a Web site dedicated to campus safety on which you can access safety-related phone numbers, campus safety news and updates, and more. Students can also sign up for WiscAlerts, UW–Madison’s emergency notification system, through the MY UW Portal; this program sends alerts via e-mail, text messages, voicemail, and land telephone lines. And the UW Police Department provides complete law enforcement on campus.

In addition, UW–Madison offers SAFE Nighttime Services, a comprehensive, free late-night transportation system that includes SAFEwalk Escort, which provides walking escorts around campus; SAFEride Cab, which offers cabs within a mile radius of campus in all directions, and SAFEride Bus, a service with three circular routes.

BADGEr Beat News
