Transfer Student Admission

Orientation

Admitted transfer students participate in our Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration program, which we call SOAR. SOAR is a one-day program, but most transfer students take placement tests the day preceding their SOAR session, making it a two-day experience. At SOAR, you will:

  • Find out about campus resources available to you
  • Learn about our academic advising system
  • Work with faculty, staff, and student advisors to become familiar with your academic interest or major
  • Select your courses and enroll online
  • Learn your way around campus on a walking tour

Parents and guests are also invited to attend SOAR. They participate in a specialized program that provides more information on housing, finances, health and safety, and more.
