Campus Tour

The best way to find out if Wisconsin is right for you is to spend some time with us in Madison, exploring our campus and meeting the people who study, work, and live here.

Information Session and Campus Tour

Every Monday through Friday, beginning at 12:30 p.m., you can join one of our admission counselors for a group information session followed by a student-guided campus walking tour. On some weekdays, we offer an additional information session and tour starting at 10:15 a.m. While you’re on campus, you can also choose to sit in on a class, tour one of our recreational facilities, attend an academic presentation in your area of interest, and eat in our residence hall dining rooms. Our weekend visit program features a student-led campus walking tour beginning at noon.

Make a Reservation

The easiest way to make a reservation is with our online campus visit reservation site. Please let us know you’re coming at least two weeks in advance as some programs do fill. If you have specific questions about visiting campus or would like to make your reservation over the phone, feel free to call 608-262-3318 or send an e-mail to visitbucky@admissions.wisc.edu.

Transfer Student Visits

Students interested in transferring to UW–Madison are welcome to participate in our daily group information session and campus tour. However, to better address the specific questions transfer students have, we also conduct a specialized transfer student visit program. Taking place on the first Friday of select months, the program includes our transfer admission information session, an academic information session, and a campus tour.
