Parking and Directions
Tips for Parking on Campus
Note that prime parking locations fill up quickly for large events, so have a backup plan of where to park in case your primary choice is full. We strongly suggest guests allow at least 45-60 minutes to find parking arrangements and should plan to park for a few hours at a time. Guests should not park in two-hour parking or at meters during their visit. Full-day parking is about $12.00. There are various campus and public parking lots and ramps near or on campus. Here are the closest options:
Please check Visitor Parking Availability to see in real-time the number of spaces available in parking lots before arriving on campus. You can find a campus parking map on the UW–Madison transportation website.
Be aware of special events on campus as they may impact parking availability and travel times.
